TALK TO ME, GOOSE

MATTHEW DELORME
Matthew DeLorme is an artist and photographer based in Connecticut. Initially trained as a sculpture student, he focused on welding and wax casting before discovering his passion for photography. Over time, his work evolved, leading him to explore woodblock printing during the pandemic. DeLorme’s deep connection to the natural world, especially through his love of flyfishing, is a central theme in his art. His early passion for fish and wildlife has led him to spend countless hours outdoors, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, creatures and experiences he encounters.


RIVERHORSE NAKADATE
Riverhorse Nakadate is a Patagonia flyfishing ambassador, adventurer, environmentalist and musician whose writing can be found in numerous surfing, guitar and flyfishing magazines. He has starred in three films: “Love & Water: Riding Shotgun with Riverhorse,” “It’s All Home Water: A Northern Light,” and “The Reindeer Journals.” He is the recipient of the first-ever Texas Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Leadership in Public Lands and Water Conservation Award. The author of Water Lines: A Life Lived on Marshes, Rivers, Seas, and in the Rain (2026, Patagonia Books), he resides in a 1910 bungalow in a historic district of Houston.


BENNY SIP
Originally from Minnesota, Benny Sip is a New Zealand–based writer whose poetic prose is inspired by water and wild places. He is the author of several books, most recently Perception: Reflections on Water and Wading in Jandals: Fly Fishing in Aotearoa. A former Major League Soccer player, he now lives in Auckland with his partner, Sim, their son, Rip, and two dogs, Goose and Maverick, where he runs a football (“soccer”) club and fishes whenever he can. He is the current world-record holder for the 4UR Fly Fishing Marathon, with a time of 1:33:45.


GLENN ZINKUS
Glenn Zinkus is an outdoor writer and photographer based in Corvallis, OR. When not engaged in piscatorial pursuits or behind the lens, he can be found chasing upland birds with his Brittanies or traveling in search of outdoor adventure. Zinkus writes about flyfishing, conservation, upland hunting and sporting travel around the world. His work appears in a variety of outdoor and travel publications. CHASE WHITE
Chase White is an award-winning Squamish, BC-based director and photographer specializing in commercial and editorial outdoor storytelling, who has built a prolific career documenting the intersection of wild ecosystems and human advocacy. White is an outspoken advocate for the environment, particularly regarding native fish populations and their habitats, and frequently donates his media resources, time and financial support to several registered 501(c)(3) organizations. When not on assignment, you can find Chase at his fly-tying desk or on a river with his wife, Lindsay, and son, Waylon Jude.
