A few weeks back, I was invited by Joey Mara and Daniel Silverberg of Waist Deep Media(remember the sasquatch video? Yeah, those guys…) to be a guest on the second episode of Rod Time With Big Joe. I’d only briefly met these guys prior but felt pretty safe that something special would happen.
We met at first light on Whidbey Island and spent the next four days laughing, fishing and exploring known and unkown spots across Washington. Thanks to great intel from the Emerald Water Anglers boys, five species of fish were caught(pink salmon, bull trout, whitefish, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout), a birthday was celebrated(mine, thank you),tasty beverages from Flycaster Brewing were had, a few pretty intense photo inceptions went down and quality male bonding time was at a maximum. But most importantly, Episode 2 of Rod Time With Big Joe was knocked out of the park.
Enjoy the video below and keep scrolling for some behind the scenes photos from the long weekend. We’re stoked to share the fun!
